  • Kitchenaid Thermistor

We have a 12 year old Kitchenaid refrigerator that was freezing some items. I researched appliance repair companies on the internet and landed on Nations Appliance aka Quality Appliance. They were offering a 20% off coupon for repair work. I called and subsequently received a call back from a local repairman who told me that he had 20 years experience in appliance repair and was contracting through Nation's Appliance who is national. The repairman diagnosed my problem over the phone and based on the model number, assured me that he could order the required part and install it. 2... More...

  • Quality Appliance Service Austin

I have another bad review for this sketchy company. One of their technicians, John, is a registered sex offender. They go by several names (Nations appliance service, Quality appliance service, john's appliance repair, and longhorn appliance services, and there are probably more). They claim to be locally owned and operated, however this obviously seems false. I have seen on here that they are based out of Florida and from my own research I have also found this to be true. Use this company at your own risk! More...

There is an outfit in Florida that contracts with appliance repair techs in Austin, Texas. You call 1-800-743-6479 and they schedule a visit from a repairman. His name JR Heiss with a phantom company named Longhorn Appliance. Neither of the companies are registered to do business in Texas. Here the story: My 5 year old KitchenAid dishwasher blew the control board. I got a quote for 466.00 dlls for parts and labor. Once repaired, it immediately got fried again. The repairman returned with a new one and a different fuse. Worked for a single washing cycle when it went bad. So, after... More...

Nation's Appliance Service as it says on my bill also goes by the name Superior Appliance Repair in the Ft Worth area. They offer 20% off repair if they do the work and waive the $49 service fee which should automatically raise a red flag and then they slap you with a huge bill claiming that includes the 20% discount. They ARE a SCAM! They never did the repairs. I'm just trying to get my money back and I've filed a complaint with the BBB and but don't have much hope. The Better Business Bureau gives them an "F" rating. You can look them up on the BBB's website by their phone #800-743-6479 or the name.

This company is a rip off they came out to tell me my washing machine circut board was broken and it wasn't it was some plastic that broke behind the control panel that made the start button not work they wanted to charge me $450.00 to fix the wrong problem and they did this without even unscrewing a screw from the washing machine. Got me for $50.00 for doing nothing. I will contact the bbb!!!

This Same guy keeps posting same story on multiple sites. I tired of hearing about it. No one else has much to say.. I think one other person on another site said he had a related story.. Prob a low end ge that needs to be replaced. A refund should have been given on the part. Other than that, the company out of Florida had an A+ rating with the BBB. Why has no one had anything bad to say to the BBB? Sorry about your luck, but the company out of Florida is a Broker, thats it, can't blame them.
